U.S. Army Medical Reserve Deployment

April 3, 2020 12:45 pm | Published by

Dear patients,

My U.S.Army Medical Reserve unit has been activated and we have been ordered to deploy to different hot zones throughout the nation to support FEMA. We will be providing medical services to non-COVID patients in field hospitals in order to free up hospital beds in these cities. I will be deploying to Columbus, Ohio tomorrow morning. I am looking forward to doing my part to help in this massive effort to #slowthespread. While I am gone, my office will remain open and my staff will still be available to answer questions or renew prescriptions. I will be able to conduct consultations via Skype as time permits. We will be scheduling at this time for June, staying positive that we can begin to return to normal by then!

Thank you for your continued support.

Edward J. Ramirez, M.D., Col. USAR

(These efforts are in support of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) COVID-19 response aiding FEMA Federal Emergency Management Agency and U. S. Army North (Fifth Army) 76th Operational Response Command.)
