COVID19 Safety Alert

Covid19 Safety Measures at The Fertility & Gynecology Center

In order to continue to provide industry-leading care while limiting social exposure and virus transmission, we have implemented the following safety measures:

  • We will be using telehealth appointments as well as seeing patients in the clinic. This can include new patient appointments, consults, and financial consults.

  • All patients will be screened over the phone for exposure and risk factors for COVID-19 prior to arriving for their appointment. Patients will also have their temperature taken during their visit. Patients who do not pass the screening will need to consult with Dr. Ramirez and reschedule their appointment.

  • Our medical staff will wear masks and gloves.

  • Patients are required to wear a mask during their visit. If you do not bring a mask to your appointment, we will have one for you to use.

  • We have modified our waiting room to accommodate social distancing guidelines.

  • We are limiting the number of patients in the office. You are allowed one person and we ask that children do not accompany adults at this time. If your partner is not undergoing any testing or treatment that day, we ask that you come to your appointment unaccompanied. Patients can bring their partners to egg retrieval and embryo transfer appointments.

  • We have an established regimen disinfecting all areas of the clinic twice daily.

  • Added additional safety measures in the laboratories to ensure staff, patient, and sample safety.

Telehealth Conferencing

In an effort to best serve his patients during the pandemic, Dr. Ramirez and his staff are available to teleconference for new patient consultations, treatment planning for established and new patients, and financial consults.

Cycle Disruption

In accordance with current recommendations set by the CDC, if a patient demonstrates symptoms of illness during a treatment cycle, or if the patient is mid-cycle and tests positive for COVID-19, the cycle will be canceled or suspended. If the patient becomes sick prior to retrieval, the cycle will be credited towards the next or subsequent cycle (providing the patient returns to our clinic) when they are no longer sick and resume treatment.  We cannot extend credit toward products or services provided by third parties (products or services provided by third parties include but not limited to medications, phlebotomy, anesthesia, genetic testing, tissue storage fees, etc).
